Quote template

A quote is an invoice's optimistic twin: same line items, but written to win the work. Magnus prices it cleanly and adds a validity date so it can't haunt you forever.

What Magnus asks for

The client (name, company, address), the line items (description, quantity, rate), and the valid-until date. All optional - blanks stay [placeholders].

Generate it in four clicks

  1. Open FILES from the top navigation and switch to the TEMPLATES tab.
  2. Click the Quote card - a short form opens listing the details Magnus can use.
  3. List the line items with quantities and rates, and set an expiry date.
  4. Click Generate. The draft lands in FILES, ready to edit or export as PDF, DOCX, or Markdown.

Tips

  • Always set the valid-until date - prices change, and old quotes bind you awkwardly.
  • Won the work? The Invoice template reuses the same line-item structure.
  • Itemise generously: clients accept faster when they can see what each number buys.
