Product roadmap template

A roadmap is a communication tool, not a promise. This template sequences your initiatives into phases with the reasoning attached, so stakeholders see the why behind the when.

What Magnus asks for

The product or company, the features or initiatives to include, and the timeline. All optional - blanks stay [placeholders].

Generate it in four clicks

  1. Open FILES from the top navigation and switch to the TEMPLATES tab.
  2. Click the Product roadmap card - a short form opens listing the details Magnus can use.
  3. Dump the feature list unordered - Magnus proposes the sequencing.
  4. Click Generate. The draft lands in FILES, ready to edit or export as PDF, DOCX, or Markdown.

Tips

  • Phases ('now / next / later') survive contact with reality better than exact dates.
  • Revisit it monthly; a roadmap nobody updates becomes a list of broken promises.
  • Ask Magnus in chat to argue against your sequencing - it finds the dependencies you missed.
