Press release template

Journalists skim hundreds of releases a day. Magnus writes yours in the shape they expect - headline, dateline, lead paragraph, spokesperson quote, boilerplate - so the news survives the skim.

What Magnus asks for

What is being announced, the release date, and a quote from a spokesperson. All optional - blanks stay [placeholders].

Generate it in four clicks

  1. Open FILES from the top navigation and switch to the TEMPLATES tab.
  2. Click the Press release card - a short form opens listing the details Magnus can use.
  3. Describe the announcement and add a real quote if you have one - Magnus drafts one if not.
  4. Click Generate. The draft lands in FILES, ready to edit or export as PDF, DOCX, or Markdown.

Tips

  • Lead with the news, not the company history - the first sentence carries the whole release.
  • Your company profile feeds the boilerplate paragraph automatically - keep it current.
  • Pair it with the Social media posts template to announce across channels the same day.
