Telegram: your assistant in your pocket

The Telegram integration turns Magnus into a bot you (and others) can message from anywhere. Create a bot with Telegram's @BotFather, paste the token into the Telegram tile in INTEGRATIONS, and Magnus takes over that bot.

Linking your own chat

  1. Connect the tile with your bot token.
  2. Open your new bot in Telegram and send the /link code shown in Magnus - this marks that chat as yours.
  3. Message the bot from your phone: your messages get the full Magnus - your goals, memory and tools. You can even add a goal from the train.

What strangers get

Anyone else who messages your bot gets a helpful plain assistant with no access to your data or tools - safe to share as a public contact point. Magnus polls for new messages continuously and answers on its own, using your configured AI model.

  • Recent messages (roughly the last day) are also readable from the dashboard chat: ask "any new Telegram messages?".
