Drag images into the chat, paste them from the clipboard, or use the paperclip. Magnus sees them in full and can describe, analyze, extract text, or critique - screenshots of dashboards and whiteboard photos work great.
Drop files straight into the conversation. Images and PDFs ride along with your message, and Word, PowerPoint and Excel files are read with it too.

PDFs are staged in the composer like images and sent with your next message. On Claude, the PDF is read natively page by page - including scans, which are read visually. On other models, the extracted text is provided. Up to 10 MB per file, up to 4 PDFs per message, and (a Claude platform limit) up to 100 pages per document.
A file that merely ends in .pdf but isn't one (a failed download that saved an error page, for instance) is caught at attach time with a clear message instead of a cryptic provider error.
Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx) and Excel (.xlsx) files attached in chat are read with your message - every page, slide and tab. Uploaded to FILES instead, they are extracted and saved there, so their content can be referenced in any conversation.
