GPT-6 Astra is the upcoming flagship tier of OpenAI's GPT-6 series. Launch is imminent, and Magnus will add it to the model roster as soon as the API is live.

Launch imminent: OpenAI has positioned GPT-6 as the successor to the GPT-5.6 series, with Astra as the flagship tier of the family. An exact release date has not been announced.

Credit pricing on the All-inclusive plan will be set from the published API price at launch, the same way every other model in the roster is priced.

What to expect

Benchmarks will be published by OpenAI at release and added to this page as soon as they are out - we do not reprint pre-launch rumors as numbers.

  • Until Astra lands, GPT-5.6 Luna (1 credit) is the newest OpenAI model on Magnus and the natural place to wait it out.

Availability on Magnus

When the API goes live, Astra will appear in the model picker for OpenAI keys and on the All-inclusive plan without any action on your side. Watch the changelog - every roster addition is announced there.

  1. Open Settings and pick OpenAI as your provider (bring your own key or use the All-inclusive plan).
  2. When Astra appears in the model picker, select it - existing agents keep their history when you switch models.
  3. Check this page again at launch for confirmed benchmarks and credit pricing.
